# updateIosAppProject

> Updates the shared iOS app project build defaults. HOST is not a supported default destination.



**mutation** `updateIosAppProject(id: ID!, defaultDestinationType: BuildDestinationType!): CodebaseProject!`

## Arguments

**`id`**: `ID!` (required)

Identifier of the iOS app project.

**`defaultDestinationType`**: `BuildDestinationType!` (required)

Default destination type: SIMULATOR or PHYSICAL_DEVICE.

## Returns

`CodebaseProject!`

**`id`**: `ID!`

Stable identifier for this codebase project.

**`type`**: `CodebaseProjectType!`

Category of this codebase project.

---

**`defaultDestinationType`**: `BuildDestinationType!`

Destination type initially selected for builds. Simulator or physical device; archive builds always use a physical device.

The repository associated with this codebase project.

Configurations associated with this codebase project.
